Headland Police Department began a manhunt Sunday evening in the Walden Pond area, leading to the arrest of one suspect. The department is still searching for the second suspect.

Headland Police Cpl. Greg Milhome was doing routine patrol when he spotted a vehicle which matched a recent Facebook post regarding a stolen vehicle. The post stated a vehicle had been stolen from a Dothan resident. Once Milhome turned around to verify the vehicle’s description, the vehicle began to speed up. Once Milhome activated his lights and siren, the vehicle’s speed continued to increase, and the vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree. Both suspects jumped from the vehicle and attempted to elude police by jumping in a pond.
